Policy and Consultancy
My work bridges academic research and policy practice, with a focus on advancing gender equality in humanitarian and development contexts. I have contributed research, training, and policy analysis related to the Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) and broader efforts to integrate gender perspectives into humanitarian response.
I have collaborated with the Canadian Foreign Service Institute, Global Affairs Canada, and a range of NGOs to design and deliver workshops and knowledge mobilization initiatives on gender equality, gender-based violence (GBV), and inclusive humanitarian action.
My expertise includes:
Research and report writing on gender in humanitarian and development settings, particularly as relates to the FIAP;
Designing and facilitating trainings for practitioners, policy actors, and students on gender, humanitarianism, and intersectional approaches;
Knowledge mobilization and curriculum development, translating research insights into accessible, practice-oriented materials;
Historical and documentary research, including archival and visual analysis of gender and humanitarianism.
Through this work, I aim to support evidence-based, reflexive, and contextually grounded approaches to gender equality and humanitarian action.
